GOOGLE CLOUD PRINT FEATURES

Google Cloud Print is a free service that allows you to print documents and photos securely from any mobile or network-connected device (such as a computer, phone, tabletor other mobile device) to your printer.You do not need to download any drivers or software from the HP website or Google to print with Google Cloud Print.

Google Cloud Print can print to either a Cloud Ready printer that can connect directly to the Internet or a classic printer that is plugged into a Windows or Mac computer with Internet access.

Registering your Google Cloud Print Ready Printer

Register your printer with Google Cloud Print through the Chrome browser on any computer or Chromebook.

  • Connect your wireless printer.
  • Turn your printer on.
  • On your Windows or Mac computer, open Google Chrome.
  • In the top right, click the icon you see: Menu or More.
  • Click Settings Show advanced settings.
  • Under "Google Cloud Print.
  • If prompted, sign in with your Google Account.

Getting your ePrint email address

  • Go to HP Connected, and then sign in to your account.
  • Click the Devices tab.
  • Click Settings next to the printer you want to change.
  • Under Your Printer's Email, click Change Email.
  • Type a new HP ePrint email address in the text boxand then click OK.
  • Inform any allowed senders of the new HP ePrint email address.

Adding a Printer to Google Cloud Print

  • Connect your wireless printer.
  • Turn your printer on.
  • In the top right, click the icon you see.
  • Click Settings > Show advanced settings.
  • Under "Google Cloud Print," click Add printers.
  • If prompted, sign in with your Google Account.
  • Select the printers you want to connect, and then click Add printer(s).

GOOGLE CLOUD PRINT FEATURES

For LaserJet printers, make sure the firmware is up to date before using Google Cloud Print. Print a configuration page to confirm your firmware version supports the service.

  • HP LaserJet Pro printers: On the printer control panel, open the Network Menu and select Report to print a Network Summary. If the firmware version is not 3.5 or later, update the firmware.
  • HP LaserJet Enterprise printers: On the printer control panel, scroll to Administration, select Reports, select Configuration/Status Pages, select Configuration page, then select Print. If the firmware version is not 20150410 or later, update the firmware.

Pre-requisites for using Google Cloud Print

  • A Computer running Chrome or a Chromebook.
  • A Google Account.
  • A Google CloudPrint ready Printer.
  • Connected to the same network as your computer with an active internet connection.
  • Use a wired or a wireless connection.
  • If you connect your printer with a USB, Google Cloud Print will not work.

Steps to register:

  • Press the Power button.
  • Open Google chrome on your computer.
  • Click the Menu icon followed by Settings in the drop-down menu.
  • Scroll down and select Show advanced settings.
  • Scroll to Google Cloud Print followed by clicking the Manage button.
  • On the Devices screen, click Register if your printer is listed under New Devices. Reconfirm your registration.
  • If prompted, Press OK on your printer to register your printer with Google Cloud Print.
  • If your Printer is not listed on the Devices screen, try to connect with your printer’s email address to confirm connection with the network.

Print from your Computer or Mobile device

You can print documents, emails, images and web pages from your computer or mobile using Google Cloud Print.


Print an email or web page from your computer

  • Open the Chrome browser, and then sign in to your Google account.
  • Open the email or web page you want to print.
  • Click the Chrome menu icon, and then select Print from the drop-down menu.
  • The Print window opens.
  • In the Print window under Destination, click the Change button.
  • In the Select a destination window under Google Cloud Print, select your printer.
  • In the Print window, change any print settings, and then click Print.

Print a document or image from your computer

  • Open the Chrome browser, and then sign in to your Google account.
  • Go to Google Cloud Print Print Jobs .
  • Click Print, select Upload file to print and then click Select a file from my computer.
  • Select the document you want to printand then click Open.
  • From the Google Cloud Print window, select your printerand then click Print.
  • Change print settings if necessaryand then click Print again.

Print an email, document, image or web page from smartphone

Install the Cloud Print app.

  • Open Google Play Store.
  • Search for Cloud Printand then tap Cloud Print by Google, Inc.
  • Install Cloud Printand then tap Back.
  • Tap Settings , tap More networks or More settingsand then tap Printing.
  • Open a saved document or imageor open an email or web page, and then tap the menu icon .
  • Tap Print and then tap Google Print.
  • Tap Print and then tap Google Print.
  • Select your printer, change print settings if necessaryand then tap Print.

Monitor or cancel current Print jobs

  • Check the status of a print job.
  • Open the Chrome browser, sign in to your Google accountand then go to Google Cloud Print Print Jobs.
  • A list of your print jobs displays.
  • Cancel a print job.
  • Open the Chrome browser, sign in to your Google accountand then go to Google Cloud Print Print Jobs. Select a print job, then click the Cancel button.
